BlackFog Named “Endpoint Security Solution Provider of the Year” in 10th Annual CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards Program

Prestigious Annual Awards Program Recognizes Breakthrough Information Security Products and Companies Around the World.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 8, 2026 – BlackFog, a pioneer in ransomware prevention and anti data exfiltration (ADX), today announced that it has been selected as winner of the “Endpoint Security Solution Provider of the Year” award in the 10th annual CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards program. Conducted by CyberSecurity Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization, the annual program recognizes the most innovative companies, products, and technologies driving progress in the global information security industry.

Built on BlackFog’s Anti Data Exfiltration (ADX) technology, BlackFog ADX Protect prevents unauthorized data exfiltration directly from the endpoint, stopping ransomware, malware, insider threats, and advanced attacks before sensitive information can be stolen or attackers can communicate with command-and-control infrastructure. BlackFog blocks unauthorized transfers in real-time, ensuring sensitive information never leaves a device or network. ADX Protect offers three coordinated layers of prevention.

Real-time exfiltration prevention occurs with endpoint agents inspecting every outbound packet at Layer 3, blocking unauthorized transfers to attacker infrastructure, anonymization networks, and command-and-control servers. The solution works offline, air-gapped, and regardless of which application initiates the transfer – browser, native client, malware, or autonomous agent. BlackFog also offers AI-driven threat detection.

ADX Protect deploys as a lightweight endpoint agent on every device – Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and ChromeOS, with a centralized BlackFog Console that gives security teams unified visibility. The console manages devices in groups, surfaces threats and events in real-time, and integrates with common ticketing systems. The agent runs alongside existing endpoint security, EDR, and antivirus tools.

“We believe that data exfiltration is the true endgame of every cyberattack. That’s why we purpose-built our ADX technology. When the data stays inside, breaches fail, ransoms collapse, and your organization stays resilient,” said Dr. Darren Williams, Founder and CEO of BlackFog. “We pioneered ADX and the market continues to validate it. We’re proud to be the platform that global enterprises like government agencies, healthcare organizations, and critical infrastructure operators trust to help stop data exfiltration at the endpoint, especially in the age of agentic AI.”

Marking its 10-year milestone this year, the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards has spent a decade on a mission that hasn’t wavered: to celebrate excellence and spotlight breakthrough innovation driving the global cybersecurity industry forward. Over that decade, the program has grown to span a wide range of categories, including Cloud Security, Threat Intelligence, Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, Mobile Security, Application Security, Identity Management, and more, consistently shining a light on the solutions and organizations redefining how we safeguard the digital world.

In this landmark 10th year, the 2026 awards program received thousands of nominations from organizations in more than 20 countries around the world, representing breakthrough technologies from disruptive startups to established global enterprises. This year’s winners embody the cutting edge of cybersecurity technology, delivering next-generation protection and resilience in today’s increasingly complex threat landscape.

“BlackFog ADX Protect delivers a fundamentally different approach to endpoint security. The one objective every cyberattack ultimately seeks to achieve is stealing data. Yet, traditional endpoint security solutions only prioritize detecting malware, identifying suspicious behavior, and responding after compromise,” said Steve Johansson, managing director, CyberSecurity Breakthrough. “BlackFog ADX Protect complements existing EDR and XDR investments by closing a critical security gap that detection-based solutions cannot address alone. With ADX Protect, organizations can move beyond detection to prevention, protecting their most valuable asset – their data.”

About BlackFog

BlackFog is the category-defining vendor in anti data exfiltration (ADX). Founded in 2015, the company invented ADX on the thesis that the endpoint is the only control point capable of stopping data from leaving an organization, an architectural bet that has now been validated across three exfiltration vectors: ransomware, Shadow AI, and autonomous AI agents. BlackFog’s endpoint-native platform protects more than 500 enterprises, government agencies, and critical infrastructure operators worldwide. The company is the publisher of the annual State of Ransomware report and the BlackFog/Sapio Shadow AI Research, the most-cited primary research in the category. BlackFog’s recognition includes the teiss Awards 2026, the AI Excellence Award 2026, the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2026, and the Cybersecurity Breakthrough Award 2026. BlackFog is headquartered in San Francisco, with international operations in London and Belfast. Learn more at blackfog.com.
