A Blue Team is a group of cybersecurity professionals responsible for maintaining an organization’s internal network defenses against all cyberattacks and threats. The blue team is usually referred to during blue/red team simulations which play an important role in an organization’s defense against an ever changing cyberthreat landscape. Incident response consultants are usually part of the blue team, providing guidance to the IT Team on where to make cybersecurity improvements. It is then the IT team’s responsibility to maintain the internal network.
