BlackFog and HP Laptop causing Blue Screen

Many HP laptop computers ship with various HP Software products. HP Velocity is software that is used only in situations when the system is part of a thin-client implementation. This software is incompatible with BlackFog. It interferes with network packets and can cause a Blue Screen on Windows 10. This is most notable when using a laptop and a docking station. As soon as the machine is docked it will cause a network driver failure and crash.

To resolve this problem please uninstall HP Velocity and your machine will operate normally again. This issue has been reported with all versions of HP Velocity to 3.3.0.25719, current as of January 2019.

Update: HP has an updated build now available (build 26228) which resolves this problem. You can download this directly from the vendor which will replace the existing version.
